ACCEPTED FILE TYPES

All artwork should be submitted in vector, print-ready format.

 We accept the following File Types:

• Illustrator (.AI)

• Vector (.EPS)

• PDF (not flattened or rasterized)

• SVG

We prefer .AI or .EPS files first because vector images can be scaled without affecting quality. We can work with a .PDF as long as the file has not been flattened or rasterized. This includes laying a flattened jpeg into illustrator and saving it as a .AI, .ESP, or .PDF format. Files that are saved in this way are subject to our conversation charge rate.

If the submitted artwork is not in vector, print-ready format, conversion charges may apply at the $50/hr rate. Unacceptable formats include raster images such as .jpeg, .png, .psd and .tif files, although some raster files may be high enough resolution to convert easily with no additional art charges.

FONTS

All fonts in art files must be outlined. 

 If you are creating your file in Adobe Illustrator, you will need to choose “Create Outlines” on all your text. This allows us to open the file without requiring the font.

Fonts that are not outlined could be subject to the conversation charge if fonts are not provided to us. HSP, LLC is not responsible for paying for or downloading fonts necessary to complete your artwork.

EMBROIDERY

HSP, LLC reserves the right to slightly alter your artwork or logo to match certain embroidery standards. This includes but is not limited to resizing fonts or line weights. HSP, LLC will make every effort to communicate these artwork adjustments to the client prior to the project entering production. HSP, LLC is not responsible for embroidery fill in or overlap if artwork is not adjusted to meet set embroidery criteria.

PANTONE COLORS

HSP, LLC provides Pantone color matching for your garments at a rate of XX. However, due to the nature of screen resolutions, colors online may vary. Therefore, HSP, LLC is not responsible for slight color variations when digital proofs are approved. HSP, LLC recommends supplying your own Pantone colors if possible. A sample may be printed at the discretion of HSP, LLC and is subject to an additional charge. While every effort is made to reproduce an imprint just as the artwork, variations in ink and printing processes make it impossible for us to guarantee exact color representation and consistency.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK

All original designs created by Humphries Screen Printing, LLC are the sole property of HSP, LLC. If you hire us to create a design for you, you are strictly paying for the labor and process to produce that design. You are not paying for the ownership of or the rights to that design. Rights to the design can be purchased in addition to the design fee. The decision to waive or charge any artwork fees will be at the sole discretion of HSP, LLC. Other design services such as logos, branding and identity, and print and web design are billed at different rates specific to each project.

Any design you submit for printing that is not being created by HSP, LLC. is owned by you or its rightful owner only. We will not reproduce your design without your or the rightful owner’s consent.

ART PROOFS

Art proofs are meant solely to confirm accuracy of the artwork itself. Proofs are not meant to represent the exact final print size as shown or exact color matches as they appear on your screen. Please refer to the listed imprint sizes and Pantone color codes on each proof to confirm their accuracy.

While every effort is made to reproduce an imprint just as the artwork, variations in ink and printing processes make it impossible for us to guarantee exact color representation and consistency.

COPYRIGHTS

All clients must provide proof of ownership before copyrighted materials will be printed. HSP, LLC will not be responsible for (and reserves the right to collect) legal fees incurred due to copyright infringement.

PRINTED/SEWN IN TAG INFORMATION

It is required by the US Government that the following information be included in all garments

• Size

• % of Material

• Country of Origin (for the garment, not your brand)

• Care Instructions

These are non-negotiable. We cannot list “Printed in the US” or “Processed in the US” instead of listing what country the shirt is manufactured in, it must have the country information on the garment. If you are unaware of the information needed for the shirts you are ordering, HSP, LLC may not be able to fulfill your order. HSP, LLC will not be responsible for ensuring this information is correct and will not be held liable or responsible for any deviations from these guidelines.

 OUT OF STOCK ITEMS

HSP, LLC is not responsible for items that are out of stock. While we check items we know to have potential stock issues, all garments are ordered after your order is placed, and we cannot guarantee their availability. Some items might be in stock when the project is quoted and out of stock by the time it gets to production. If items are out of stock, we will provide you with a list of possible replacements and get client approval prior to project moving into production.
